Entries must use the #HIMSS20 hashtag and follow the HIMSS Twitter account to qualify. Only 2020 HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition attendees are eligible to win. OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES: In order to qualify for the contest, you must adhere the contest rules set forth below.
Alex Rodriguez Meet and Greet Official Contest Rules
NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THE ALEX RODRIGUEZ MEET AND GREET CONTEST (“CONTEST”). ENTRY INTO THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.
BINDING AGREEMENT: These Official Rules (“Rules”) will provide you with the information you need to successfully enter the Contest. These Rules form a binding contract between the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (“HIMSS”) and you as an entrant into the Contest. By entering you agree to be bound by these Rules. If you breach a provision of these Rules, you will forfeit your entry into the Contest. ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible to enter this Contest, you must be (i) a resident of the United States of America; (ii) above the age of majority in the jurisdiction in which you reside at the time of entry; (iii) you must not be a resident of a jurisdiction in which the promotion is restricted or prohibited by law; and (iv) you must be a registered attendee of the 2020 HIMSS Global Health Conference (“HIMSS20”) at the time of submission. Current employees, directors, and officers of HIMSS and HIMSS’s subsidiaries, agents and their immediate families and those living in their household, are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Contest entrants must be individuals (not organizations or companies) and each Contest entrant must have an active, qualifying Twitter account to participate. An active Twitter account includes a profile photo and activity in the three months preceding the Contest Term. The Contest is limited to one entry per person. Individuals with multiple Twitter accounts may not enter using more than one Twitter account.

CONTEST TERM: The Contest will begin 10 a.m. CST Monday, Jan. 13 and ends at 11:59 p.m. CST on Friday, January 17, 2020 (“Contest Term”).

Submissions that meet the requirements set forth above (the “Qualifying Submissions”) will be evaluated by HIMSS and assigned a numerical score based on the following criteria:
The Qualifying Submission with the highest score after evaluation will receive the Contest Prize, which is described below. HIMSS will notify the selected entrant via a Twitter direct message. The winner has up to three business days to respond. After that point, the winner will be disqualified, and the runner up will be notified. Once a winner accepts the prize, we will announce the winner on the @HIMSS Twitter account. The selected entrant may be required to provide HIMSS with proof that he or she is the authorized account holder of the Twitter account associated with the selected submission.
All decisions on all matters pertaining to the Contest are final.
HIMSS and its affiliates, subsidiaries, employees, agents, officers and directors, advertising and marketing agencies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and their respective agents will not be liable for unsuccessful efforts to notify a winner. No prize transfer, assignment, or substitution by winner permitted. All federal, state, and local taxes, fees, duties and surcharges, if any, on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners. If any potential winners fails to respond to the prize notification within designated time period, declines the prize, fails to claim the prize, is unavailable for prize fulfillment, fails to abide by the Rules, or is ineligible, HIMSS may select an alternate winner from all remaining eligible entries.
The winner of the Contest will receive an invitation for ONE person to attend the Meet and Greet with Alex Rodriguez at HIMSS20. The winner will be notified of additional details prior to the event. The prize is non-transferable.
ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
IN-PERSON AND ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS: By submitting your entry, you agree to communicate for the purpose of this Contest with HIMSS electronically. By agreeing to do business electronically, you (i) agree that your act of submitting your Twitter entry is binding consent, which you agree binds you to these Rules, (ii) represent that you have Internet access and a valid email address enabling you to receive communications and documents electronically from HIMSS and to access these Rules on the Contest website, and (iii) represent that you have a printer or other device to print or otherwise save communications and documents including, without limitation, these Rules and that you have, in fact, printed or otherwise saved a copy of these Rules for your records. This consent is effective unless and until you withdraw it. You may withdraw your consent to electronic communication and delivery of documents, update your contact information, or request a free paper copy of these Rules at any time by contacting us as set forth in these Rules. We will send you a confirmation notice once we have processed your change request.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE: Entrants and winners individually and on behalf of their relatives, heirs, assignees, executors, and administrators, hereby permanently, irrevocably and forever waive and release any and all rights, demands, losses, liabilities, claims and causes of action whatsoever which you may now or hereafter be entitled to assert against HIMSS, its affiliates, parent, and subsidiary companies, its employees, agents and officers, advertising, marketing and promotion agencies, as well as all others associated with the development and execution of the Contest (collectively, the “Released Parties”), including, but not limited to any death, injury, loss of enjoyment or other harm or loss of any nature whatsoever caused by, contributed to, or arising out of the Contest and/or any prize awarded, any claim or demand for additional compensation or any other claim or demand related to the Contest or what the HIMSS provides, and forever release and discharge the Released Parties from any and all liability with respect thereto. The Released Parties assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or delay in operation or transmission; communications line failure; theft or destruction of or unauthorized access to Contest entries; or alteration of entries, or any registration or winner selection.
CONDITIONS: Entrants agree (a) to be bound by these Rules; (b) the transfer of your personal information and your entry to the United States, where HIMSS and its data processors are located, and the use of your entry by HIMSS; and (c) that the decisions of HIMSS are final on all matters relating to the Contest. HIMSS is not responsible for: (i) lost, late, incomplete, invalid, illegible, or misdirected entries, which will be disqualified; (ii) for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions; (iii) for technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to electronic malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software; or (iv) for any error, human, technical or otherwise. HIMSS reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry not in compliance with these Rules.
You acknowledge and agree that HIMSS may keep a copy of your submission indefinitely and use or disclose it for any purpose, including but not limited to: (a) comply with legal process; (b) enforce these Rules; (c) respond to claims that any entry violates the rights of third-parties; or (d) without undertaking a duty to do so, protect the rights, property, or personal safety, of our users and the public.
You represent and warrant that you have the permissions necessary to include any third party content or material incorporated into your submission and that you will, upon request from HIMSS provide HIMSS with a copy of all licenses, written grants of authority and/or written permissions for any third party content incorporated into your submission.
PUBLICITY: Entry into this Contest and acceptance of any prize related to this Contest constitutes permission for, and winners' consent to, HIMSS and its agencies or assigns to use the submission and the names, country of residence and/or likenesses of any winner for advertising and promotional purposes, in any media now or hereafter known, without further notice, compensation, consideration, review, or consent, except as prohibited by law. The winner will be required to sign a Recording Authorization and Publicity Release prior to attending the Meet and Greet.
GOVERNING LAW: The Contest and the rights and obligations of all entrants and entries shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, USA without effect to any principles of conflicts of law, and the federal law of the United States. Should any provision of these Rules be held to be void, invalid, unenforceable, or illegal by a proper legal authority, the validity and enforceability of the other provisions shall not be affected.
