Wendy Howell works at the University of Mississippi Medical Center as the Clinical Outcomes Coordinator of Radiology Administration. After graduating from Delta State University School of Nursing in 2004, she started her nursing career in UMMC’s Medical Intensive Care Unit. While spending nearly a decade in the Medical ICU, Wendy obtained her certification as a Critical Care Registered Nurse in 2006 and served as the unit’s Clinical Staff Educator five years. In her current role, Wendy manually tracks imaging-related incidental findings to ensure the radiologist’s follow-up recommendations are carried out in a timely manner. She is a part of other research, quality, and performance improvement projects with the goal of providing high-quality patient care. Wendy recently completed her Masters of Science in Nursing and Healthcare Administration in 2017 where her work with Natural Language Understanding began.
