Dr. Lee is currently the Chief Medical Information Officer for the provincial government organization of Manitoba eHealth. Manitoba eHealth is responsible for the strategy, procurement, and implementation of digital health technology and processes in Manitoba, and serves a population of over one million people and over 70 hospital sites. Dr. Lee's previous administrative roles have included positions as the Associate Head for Anesthesia Clinical Operations for the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, and Site Leader of Anesthesia at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. His administrative interests include healthcare leadership, strategy and innovation. Also an Associate Professor of Anesthesia at the University of Manitoba, and a practicing physician, Dr. Lee specializes in Cardiac Anesthesiology and Perioperative Echocardiography. Dr. Lee has been fortunate to have received his medical education from the University of Manitoba, Cambridge and Toronto. He also holds a Master of Medical Management degree from the Carnegie Mellon Heinz School of Public Policy and Management. His clinical research interests have included regional anesthesia for cardiac surgery, and organ donor preservation for heart transplantation.
