Thomas "Tommy" is a Project manager and business analyst for Kaiser Permanente, where he has worked for nearly 19 years. He is currently responsible for product
development work associated with implementing Epic's Radiant radiology information system for Northern California. His responsiblities include overseeing overall
workflow design, PACS integration, implementation planning, and developing a strategic deployment roadmap.
Tommy's business analyst role includes designing and helping to develop and implement multiple real-time web applications to improve radiologists interpretation turn-
around-time, communications, and productivity.
Tommy's current role also digs deeply into workflow analysis to design, develop, and operationalize various radiology operations optimization reports.
He also provides technical leadership and support to many of Kaiser's PACS Administrators -- managing a staff of PACS administrators and 13 digital imaging librarians.
Previously at Kaiser, Tommy has worked as a systems administrator for radiology systems, focusing on both general radiology and radiation oncology, where he designed and
implemented business intelligence reports that incorporated data from Kaiser's EMR (Epic) and radiation oncology system (Varian Aria).
Tommy has also previously engineered a real-time web application that enhanced the coordination of patient care and improved exam room efficiency, and provided systems
administration to all aspects of technology: hardware, software, database, web, network, security, automation, application development, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
