Thomas Selva, M.D., chief medical information officer for University of Missouri Health Care, also serves as the medical director of the Tiger Institute for Health Innovation. Selva received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and completed residency training in pediatrics at the MU School of Medicine. A board-certified pediatrician, Selva joined MU in 1992. He is a Professor of Clinical Child Health at the MU School of Medicine and continues to practice pediatric medicine.
Selva was recognized in 2015 by Healthcare IT News as a leader in health care information technology receiving the “Enhancing Patient Care Through IT Award. Additionally, he was part of the team at MU Health Care recognized by AHA and CHIME with the Transformational Leadership Award in 2016.
