Dr. O’Malley graduated from Amherst College, Cornell University Medical College and trained at Massachusetts General Hospital where he is on staff as an internist/geriatrician providing clinical care and supervising trainees with an emphasis on long-term and post-acute care. He has served on many technical expert panels to advise CMS on issues including quality measures for post acute care, readmission metrics, development and refinement of the CARE Tool, establishing a standardized functional assessment tool for PAC, and Hospice quality measures. He is currently a member of the NQF Patient Experience and Function Standing Committee and the Federal HIT Advisory Committee.
