Dr. Susan Kressly is a board certified general pediatrician and founding partner of Kressly Pediatrics in Warrington, PA. Her interest in combining technology, high quality pediatric medical care, and business leadership has been instrumental in the practice’s NCQA PCMH Level 3 recognition and their continual ability to thrive in today’s challenging healthcare market. Driven by innovation, Dr. Kressly was an early adopter of Health IT including a patient portal as means of engagement since 2004. She has since been been board certified in Clinical Informatics, and serves as Medical Director of Office Practicum, a pediatric-specific EHR. Sue serves in key leadership roles at the American Academy of Pediatrics with focuses on practice transformation, payer advocacy, pediatric health IT, and quality care. In addition, she is co-author of two recent AAP Policy Statements: Nonemergency Acute Care: When It’s Not the Medical Home, and Guiding Principles for Team-Based Pediatric Care. She has given multiple presentations on the changing face of pediatric practice including population health, alternative payment models and team-based care. Sue believes that all children deserve access to a well-coordinated patient-centered medical home which maximizes the use of Health IT, and all pediatricians deserve the resources and support to transform their practices to meet their patient’s needs in a constantly changing healthcare environment.
