In 2010 established the Product Cyber Security program within the GE Healthcare Science and Technology Organization, and this role ultimately grew into leading a global Product Cyber Security organization of 30 senior-level industry experts within the newly formed Healthcare Digital organization. This is a complex role involving implementation of Cyber Security Standards across the world’s largest global medical device manufacturer, interacting with major Healthcare Providers, regulatory agencies, industry groups, thought leaders, and other GE businesses. Responsibilities include management policy definition and implementation, technical security controls within product designs, operational security of strategic cloud service programs, and overall security architecture of cloud software analytics from design specifications through deployment in commercial cloud. This role is also responsible for development and commercialization of strategic analytics and governance tools to meet specialized security requirements within the Healthcare ecosystem.
Scope of Product Security Activities
As Senior Director of the GE Healthcare Product Cyber Security organization, responsible for all GE Healthcare Product Cyber Security strategy and execution across all business activities. This role is both tactical and strategic, involving 1) understanding of customer needs, compliance requirements, and business risks; 2) defining internal processes to meet these requirements; 3) implementing these processes globally across all product and service teams; and 4) establishing support and governance processes. The role includes interaction with all levels of GE management as well as customers, industry groups, and government stakeholders.
