Seth D. Carlson has over 19 years of experience in Information Technology fields, with the past 13 years in Health Care IT. He currently works as a principal clinical architect, business analyst and integrator of new IT systems at the NIH Clinical Center. Seth is the technical lead for enterprise-wide projects for the implementation of Enterprise Scheduling and Provider Accuracy, along with serving on departmental and organizational committees within the Clinical Center. Within his department, Seth has been the supervisor for the Clinical Development Team, and team lead for the Application Development, Interface, Configuration Management and Testing teams. He has subject matter expertise in Clinical Health Systems, ADT (Admissions, Discharge, Transfer), Scheduling, HL7 interfaces, databases, systems integration, and clinical information systems. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (BCS) in 1997 from the University of Maryland in College Park. He received his Master of Science in Business and Management, Information Systems (MSIS) degree from the University of Maryland in College Park in December, 2014.
