Santosh Mohan serves as the Head of the More Disruption Please (MDP) Labs at athenahealth, fostering the next generation of healthcare innovators. He most recently served as the Chairperson of HIMSS Innovation Committee. Prior to joining athena, Mohan served as a Digital Solutions Management Fellow at Stanford Health Care and helped the organization achieve EMRAM Stage 7 inpatient and outpatient validations. Earlier in his career, he worked on technology-enabled innovation at Duke University Health System and Cerner Corporation and served as a Senior Consultant and Director at The Advisory Board Company. Mohan holds a master's degree in business management and clinical informatics from Duke Fuqua School of Business and a bachelor's degree in engineering and bioinformatics. He is a Duke Fuqua Scholar in clinical informatics and the recipient of HIMSS 2016 Founders Leadership Award. Mohan was recently recognized by Health Data Management among "11 leading innovators in Healthcare IT" and by Becker’s Hospital Review in 2016 as one of 33 "Health IT Wiz Kids" and in 2017 as one of 60 "Rising Stars" with considerable industry accomplishments. He is also one of the industry's youngest to carry the Fellow of HIMSS designation.
