Robert Slepin, FHIMSS, CPHIMS, CHCIO, CGEIT, PMP, currently serves as an Executive Advisor to the Alberta Health Services (AHS) Board and executive sponsors and co-directs the Implementation stream of Connect Care, AHS' Epic program. He also serves as Board Advisor to Trillium Health Partners for their Epic Implementation. A former health system CIO, Robert is affiliated with Epic's Emeritus CIO program, assisting Epic clients with strategic advisory and implementation management services. He has led Epic projects at leading institutions in the U.S., Canada and Saudi Arabia, most recently serving as executive director of the Epic project at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. A Fellow of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), Robert has held senior IT leadership positions at Johns Hopkins Medicine International, Stanford Children's Health and Sutter Health. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Duke University, holds certifications as a professional in healthcare information and management systems, healthcare CIO, enterprise IT governance and project management and has achieved certificates in health informatics, healthcare quality improvement, IT service management, control objectives for information and related technology (COBIT) and Lean IT.
