Robert has been working in Healthcare for over 15 years, he started out as a health unit coordinator while in school to become a Nurse. In 2005 he graduated from nursing school and since that time has worked in a variety of areas all the while gathering knowledge around all aspects of healthcare. He spent time on the unit delivering direct patient care, and then took an opportunity to be a part of a large team that provided training and support for the implementation of an EMR within a seven-hospital system. Soon after he took on a project management role that had him planning, training, and rolling out a tool that empowered nurses to self-schedule their shifts. Next, he took on a role doing performance improvement where he had a chance to address many failing processes across a variety of departments. It was in this role that he discovered his passion for data and analytics. A passion that would provide him the opportunity to become the Senior Manager of the team that produces analytics for finance, clinical, market, and HR teams and would ultimately lead to the Director role that he holds currently. During this journey he also took the time to further his education and ultimately received a Master’s of Science in Nursing that focused on Leadership and Management.
