Rachel Cordrey graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland College Park in 2011, then a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore School of Pharmacy in 2014. Dr. Cordrey is currently working towards a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of Maryland University College. She has served as the Pharmacy Supervisor of inpatient operations at Peninsula Regional Medical Center since 2016. In January 2019, Peninsula Regional was the first hospital in the nation to integrate artificial intelligence into the electronic health record system. In June 2019, IBM nominated Dr. Cordrey for the “Top Women Leader in AI” award for the work that PRMC did to pave the way for AI integration into the EHR. Dr. Cordrey also teaches Biostatistics and Pharmacokinetics at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore School of Pharmacy.
