Preston Gee is a leading advocate and recognized leader for market-driven strategies in the healthcare industry. He has served in senior leadership positions and an experienced management consultant for a wide range of hospitals and health systems.
Since 2013 he has acted as VP of Strategic Marketing at CHRISTUS Health where he leads multi-state, international and local marketing planning strategy development and implementation. In this role he is also in charge of CHRISTUS Health’s brand management, web strategies, shared promotional and advertising campaigns, system contracts and services relative to marketing communications, customer relationship management systems and physician liaison processes and strategies.
Prior to joining CHRISTUS Health, Preston served as the SVP of Planning and Marketing at Trinity health where he was responsible for web presence, roll outs and service line operations for the 9 billion-dollar health system.
Other roles throughout his career include Senior Managing Director at Premier Consulting from 2005-2008 and SVP of Strategic Planning, Marketing and Communications at St. David’s Healthcare from 1993 – 2005. While at Premier Consulting he led strategic planning, medical staff development, physician alignment and service line management consulting to hospitals and health systems. In his years at St. David’s he helped develop the 1.2 billion-dollar healthcare system’s first long-range plan and also played an integral role in St. David’s transition from not-for-profit to a partnership with HCA. This resulted in doubled revenues, assets and market penetration.
Preston is a published book author and has written numerous articles on planning and strategy for virtually every major publication in the healthcare industry. He is also a frequent speaker at national conferences on everything from consumer-based trends, health reform to service line management.
