He is considered a visionary who helped lead The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) from 200 to 750 providers spread over 47 specialties and 65 locations where he served as CIO for 12 years. He is currently serving as the Interim CIO since his transition to becoming the CEO of CITI Healthcare in July 2015. Praveen has been part of the George Washington University Community since 1982
As CIO for George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) he was responsible for IT infrastructure, security, networking, telecommunications, Information systems, physician integration, risk management and strategic planning. He played an integral part in bringing MFA in the forefront through modernizing the practice of medicine by adopting and implementing new technologies like EHR, Patient portal, Document Management solution, Check-in Kiosk, and mobile and iPad medicine as well as built a real time physician dashboard and a repository of clinical and financial reports helping GWMFA advance to being a national leader with technology to improve patient care.
Praveen was recently offered an opportunity to expand on his multi-faceted operation and healthcare IT skills in becoming the CEO of CITI Healthcare where he is using his expertise to develop cutting edge technology to assist in Healthcare IT organizations across the world.
