Pamela Banchy, RN-BC, PMP, CHCIO, is the CIO and VP of Clinical Informatics & Transformation at Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
As part of the hospital’s executive team, Ms. Banchy brings clinical insight in providing vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that meet the mission of Western Reserve Hospital. She is responsible for all information system activities including implementation, design, analysis, installation and operations. Recently, she led the planning, implementation and launch of Western Reserve Hospital’s electronic medical record system and has been guiding all regulatory reporting, expansion and operations of the system.
Under Ms. Banchy’s leadership, Western Reserve Hospital was designated as one of only 24 hospitals in Ohio to be named among the nation’s “Most Wired” hospitals by the American Hospital Association’s (AHA) Health Forum. She was recently named one of the top “100 Hospital and Health System CIOs to Know” and “130 Women Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know” in Becker’s Hospital Review, and as a “CIO Superstar” in Health Management Technology magazine.
She has more than 15 years of healthcare IT experience, most recently serving as System Director, Clinical Information Systems at Summa Health System, and before that, as Corporate Director, Clinical Systems at University Hospitals of Cleveland. Ms. Banchy is certified in Nursing Informatics (RN-BC), is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and is a graduate of Ursuline College and Ohio Northern University.
