Nina M. Taggart

Nina Taggart is the Senior Medical Director of Population Health and Payer Relations. She joined LVHN in July of 2015 to lead the design, development and delivery of LVHN’s Population Health initiatives in the Innovation Division. She works closely with Populytics and our Physician Hospital Organization to improve our system wide approach to vulnerable Populations and those for whom we bear financial risk. Prior to coming to LVHN, Dr. Taggart served as the CMO for a regional Blue Cross plan with strategic and operational oversight of clinical provider strategy, accountable care arrangements, quality and accreditation as well as the medical expense budget. As part of the AllOne Health for profit start up, she lead the clinical team that saw the organization grow from 15 to 0ver 100 employees with 31 client groups across the United States earning state and national recognition for care management results. Dr. Taggart has published/presented on computer graphics, molecular biology and ophthalmic plastic surgery as well as managed care and population health. She has held multiple leadership positions on medical staff and served on the Boards of the Arthritis Foundation, YMCA and the Healthy Northeastern Pennsylvania Initiative. She has spoken at ACOEM, AHIP and other industry forums and presented to CMS on behalf of BCBSA. Dr. Taggart holds degrees from Bryn Mawr College (AB), Haverford College (MA), Alvernia University (MBA) and Weill Cornell Medical College (MD). She completed her internship at Bryn Mawr Hospital, Bryn Mawr, Pa. and her residency at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, New York, NY. She is a board-certified ophthalmologist continuing a three-generation tradition of medical service to her community.
