Nancy Turner received her RN diploma in 1985 and her BSN from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Nursing in December 1989. After spending ten years in the critical care/emergency room setting, she moved to the peri-anesthesia area, working as the Orientation Coordinator and charge nurse in a large academic medical center Post Anesthesia Care Unit. In 2015, Ms. Turner’s passion for teaching and training other health care providers led her to the Medical University of South Carolina Center for Telehealth as an RN Telehealth Clinical Coordinator. She is a leader in staff education for the implementation for Telehealth. Instrumental in the expansion of the Neuroscience Telehealth program, Ms. Turner has led the training and implementation of telehealth services at multiple partner sites. Also, assisting with development of new telehealth services. Working to improve patient outcomes, Ms. Turner has worked on several process improvements at MUSC and community partner hospitals. She has been a contributor to multiple research projects with results shared at the International Stroke Conference and the American Neurology Association.
