Director, Clinical Education, Practice and Informatics
Michelle Machon is the Director of Education, Practice and Informatics in Kaiser Permanente, Roseville, California. She is an Irish trained nurse who has worked in Ireland, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Kuwait, the US and in the United Arab Emirates. She is a passionate nursing education and informatics leader with 18 years’ experience in leading teams, application implementation and delivery of healthcare education and technology that elevates patient safety and workflow efficiency. Her strong relationship building and communication skills has led her to be recognized at a National level in regulatory strategies and she was awarded the “Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Nurse Leader of the Year” in 2016. Michelle was the first nursing leader in on the project for the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi a 360-bed tertiary facility operated by Cleveland Clinic and part of Abu Dhabi’s strategic 2030 plan to bring quality healthcare to the UAE which opened in Q2 2015. She is certified in 2 suites of EPIC and is CPHIMS certified. She recently completed the AONE/ASU Executive Fellowship in Innovation Health Leadership. She obtained her Associates Degree from St Michael's Hospital in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland and her BSN and MSN from University of Southern Queensland in Australia. She is currently studying for her DNP with Fresno State University.
