In 2017, Martin Peuker was appointed as the new CIO of Charité Universitaetsmedizin Berlin, which is the largest AMC in Europe. As the CIO, his priorities are the continuous development and improvement of IT structures in Health Care Technology, both at Charité and at BIH (Berlin Institute of Health), which is a Charité subsidiary concentrating on research. The priorities include not only the support of research and teaching, but also the support of clinical processes with technology. Previous to his CIO role, he was leading an IT division in the Charité and he acted as the Deputy CIO since 2006. Prior that, he spent several years as a consultant.
