Martin Madera has 10 years of experience in Healthcare IT and is currently the Senior Manager of the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC). Martin oversees all aspects of the AJCC’s operations including the development of the AJCC Cancer Staging System, strategic partnerships with vendors and federal agencies, and importantly, the development of the AJCC’s API. Martin has led the push to make the AJCC Cancer Staging System digitally consumable and interoperable for the benefit of cancer care. Previous to serving as the Senior Manager of the AJCC, Martin was the Program Manager for the Collaborative Stage Data Collection System used by every cancer registry in North America. Martin received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master’s degree from the University of Chicago.
