Manuel Figallo has been involved in SAS pre-sales and post-sales engagements since the 1990’s. He is currently a Principal Systems Engineer in the SAS Government Business Unit. His customers have included Federal entities (including the Executive Office and numerous agencies), financial organizations (including a Fortune 20 bank), government-sponsored enterprises, health care organizations, non-governmental organizations, and several small and medium sized businesses primarily in the United States but also Africa, Europe, and Latin America. Manuel began his career in text analytics and artificial intelligence research. He holds two masters' degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and UC Berkeley where he was an IBM TJ Watson Fellow. He is SAS Certified, and he contributes his vast technical skills, as necessary, to his SAS engagements in order to solve customers’ problems and add value. His most recent interests are in the data management and visualization of government indicators (or "series") for analytics using Visual Analytics and Web Services, and he has published and presented at the SAS Global Forum and also several SAS Users' Groups, customer sites, and universities.
