Mamta Gakhar, MPH works at YMCA of the USA as Director of Healthcare Integration, where she oversees a team of staff supporting implementation of evidence-based health interventions, including the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program and the Medicare Diabetes Prevention Program, among YMCAs throughout the country. The Healthcare Integration team provides high-touch technical assistance and training to assist YMCAs in delivering successful programs that achieve positive outcomes, focusing intentionally on electronic health record documentation and referral management, partnership engagement and development, staff hiring and support, participant recruitment, resource utilization, and data monitoring and ongoing quality improvement. Prior to joining YMCA of the USA, Mamta worked as Program Manager for Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago (RHAMC). At RHAMC, Mamta directed implementation of multiple clinic-based and community-based initiatives geared toward tobacco control and lung health disease management and targeted to local underserved populations. Mamta earned her Master of Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
