Lisa Caplan is a Senior Vice President and leads the Care Delivery Technology Services team for Kaiser Permanente's Information Technology group, responsible for delivering enterprise-wide and regional IT services and solutions. This includes management of enterprise clinical systems such as KP HealthConnect, Lab and Pharmacy systems; information technologies in our hospitals and medical office buildings, and other regional systems that serve Kaiser Permanente and its members.
Lisa manages a team of over 2600 employees located in all of Kaiser Permanente’s regions. She also oversees the enterprise investment care delivery technology portfolio and strategy.
Lisa led the national KP HealthConnect Collaborative Build and Business Services team, which was responsible for product release, analysis, and build efforts related to Kaiser Permanente's implementation of our electronic health record.
Lisa has more than 25 years of experience working in health care organizations, software development companies, and global consulting firms.
Lisa earned a bachelor's of science degree in Health Information Administration from Loma Linda University and a Master's in Public Health, from the University of California, Los Angeles. She has also completed executive programs at MIT/Sloan and Harvard Business School. Lisa was named one of Top 100 Women in Information Technology and one of ComputerWorld’s Premier Top 100 leaders.
