Lawrence was born in Taiwan, China and immigrated to USA in 1983. He has continuously worked in healthcare for more than 25 years, started in Atlanta Georgia's Grady Memorial hospital and its diabetes clinic. He acquired three degrees in the same area - Georgia Tech School of Industrial and Systems Engineering and its influential Health Systems program where HIMSS was originally born, and Georgia State University for his global MBA. He always volunteered and contributed to healthcare community, in various ways - as chapter member, founder of the HIMSS Greater China Region SIG in 2006, in PMI (Project Management Institute's) Healthcare COI, and numerous other professional and community organizations.
He has held progressively more advanced and innovative positions including world-class consulting roles (First Consulting Group, Accenture, Deloitte), leader of integration company's healthcare division, as director of health insurance company, regulatory mandated project's trusted expert (HIPAA, ICD-10, HIE/RHIO). He is now actively changing the pediatric behavior health industry through his latest entrepreneurial startup as founder CEO- a company that revolutionizes care coordination, patient engagement, mobile device, efficiency realization, visibility and KPI distribution in autism and other special needs cases. He is residing in Long Island, New York and very active in the local special needs community.
