Lance Hayden has spent over twenty-five years in the information security field, and is a leading expert on people-centric security and security culture. He began his career with the Central Intelligence Agency as a human intelligence (HUMINT) operations officer, and has held security and leadership positions with KPMG, FedEx, Cisco, and the Berkeley Research Group. Lance is currently the Chief Privacy and Security Officer of ePatientFinder, a healthcare technology startup. He is the author of the books "People-Centric Security: Transforming Your Enterprise Security Culture" and "IT Security Metrics." A regular speaker on security culture at industry events and conferences, Lance offers practical advice for implementing better human firewalls in any organization. An educator and academic, he received his PhD in Information Science from the University of Texas, where he also teaches courses on security and privacy. He lives in Austin.
