Ken Ferrell is the Director of Applied Data Science at Dignity Health, responsible for developing strategies to extract insights from clinical and financial data by applying machine learning and other statistical methods. Ken oversees a team of data scientists and is responsible for the architecure of enterprise data repositories. During his seven years at Dignity Health, Ken has held a number of technical leadership roles at Dignity Health, primarily focusing on the design and population of large healthcare data repositories. Through these opportunities, Ken has worked in the domains of care management, quality reporting, Meaningful Use, patient satisfaction, resource utilization, and compliance in both ambulatory and acute settings.
In 2016, Ken earned a Master's Degree from Stanford University in Biomedical informatics with a focus on Machine Learning and Genomics. Ken holds a Bachelor's degree in Computational Mathematics from Arizona State University. In addition he holds adjunct faculty appointments at Arizona State University and Grand Canyon University.
