Kelli Garber, MSN, APRN, PPCNP-BC received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at the Johns Hopkins University and her Master of Science Degree in advanced practice pediatric nursing at the University of Maryland. She has been a Board Certified Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner for over 20 years and has extensive experience in both private practice and school-based settings. Ms. Garber is currently the Lead Advanced Practice Provider and Clinical Integration Specialist for the Center for Telehealth at the Medical University of South Carolina which was recently designated as one of only two National Centers for Telehealth Excellence.
Ms. Garber has been actively involved in the development and implementation of the MUSC School-Based Telehealth program since its inception in 2014. In addition to telehealth, her professional interests include school-based health as well as advocating for and supporting school nurses. A strong advocate for children’s health issues, Ms. Garber was selected by the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) as an Advocacy Scholar in 2017. She is currently a member of the NAPNAP National Health Policy Committee as well as serving as the Legislative Chair and President of the South Carolina chapter of NAPNAP. She also serves as the Chair of the MUSC Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Council and is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Telehealth Care (SOTC) where she represents NAPNAP as the Liaison to the Executive Committee. She has spoken at many local, state and national conferences on telehealth topics including school-based telehealth and telehealth professional practice issues.
