I have been working at L.A. Care Health Plan from 2015-present. We are America’s largest publicly operated health plan and largest health plan by membership in L.A. county. I serve currently as Chief Medical Information Executive from 2016 - present and previously was Medical Director of Informatics, Healthcare Outcomes and Analysis, 2015 - 2016. I am the Physician Informatics lead on application optimization, report development and visualization and our Health Information Ecosystem. Prior to my current role, I worked with Adventist Health West based in Roseville, CA (HealthCares’s Most Wired, 2014, HIMSS Level 6) from 2011- 2015 as Medical Director, Clinical Information Systems. During this time I helped our 19 hospitals go live with CPOE, develop hundreds of order sets, document templates, EMR optimization and start our EDW. My last clinical role was at the Glendale Adventist Family Medicine Residency Program, Glendale, CA, 2008 - 2011. I was Clinical Faculty and Family Practice of Glendale and Glendale Adventist Family Medicine Residency Program and served as Curriculum Chair. During this time, I was Clinical Assistant Professor at Keck School of Medicine, Los Angeles, CA From 2006 - 2008, I was Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at the USC Family Medicine Residency Program, Health Sciences Campus and served as Curriculum Director. My first role after residency was Staff Physician University Park Health Center, Los Angeles, CA from 2002 - 2006.
