Since joining Piedmont Healthcare, a $3B, seven-hospital not for profit health system in north Georgia Katie has developed and led a diverse group of healthcare functions. She currently serves as vice president of Patient Experience for Piedmont, responsible for the development and execution of Piedmont's experience strategy. She leads the practices and innovations that emphasize the consistent delivery of patient centered care, while transforming access, choice and experience for Piedmont.
Prior to this role, Katie served as Piedmont’s vice president for marketing and physician outreach, leading the development and execution of marketing strategy and physician relations efforts to support business growth and enhances brand awareness for the health system, service lines, programs, physician groups, and affiliates.
Joining Piedmont in 2009, Katie supported the cardiovascular service line and physician enterprise as the vice president of strategy and professional services for the Piedmont Heart Institute, comprised of nearly 100 employed cardiovascular specialists with over 25 locations, and Piedmont Physicians, a multi-specialty group with over 200 employed physicians across 70 locations. In this role, Katie lead strategic planning, program development, project management, clinical integration, process improvement, quality, marketing, outreach, education, and research. Partnering with both physicians and operational leaders, Katie focused on integrating the cardiovascular service line and other key services across the Piedmont Healthcare system.
Prior to joining Piedmont Katie was a management consultant with KPMG, a global tax, audit, and advisory professional services firm. In that capacity she provided strategic and business planning, project management, performance improvement, and change management consulting services for a variety of clients across the US in various industries including healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and technology.
