Dr. Kathleen Burns earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Chamberlain College of Nursing, her Masters in Nursing from the University of Akron, and her Bachelors in Nursing from Cleveland State University. She is a member of various professional nursing organizations, such as the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists and the Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses. Nationally, she has served as member of the Boy Scouts of America National Health and Safety Committee, was the Chief Nursing Officer for the 2010 and 2013 National Boy Scout Jamborees, and has represented the Boy Scouts of America as a media spokesperson.
