A native of Syracuse, New York, Lieutenant Justin Taylor is a senior resident in the National Capital Consortium Diagnostic Radiology Program at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. After completing an undergraduate degree in aeronautical engineering at the United States Naval Academy, Dr. Taylor served as a Naval Surface Warfare officer, specifically the gunnery officer aboard USS COMSTOCK (LSD 45) out of San Diego, CA, deploying in 2009 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Anti-piracy Combined Task Force 151. In 2010, he entered into the Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program, completing his medical degree at the SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY in 2014. He completed his internship in General Surgery at Walter Reed in 2015 and has since served in the Diagnostic Radiology Program. He is currently enrolled in the Health Services Administration MBA program at the State University of New York at Oswego and has presented at national conferences on advanced photon-counting CT systems and a review of the ONC "Use of Blockchain in Health IT and Health-Related Research" Ideation Challenge.
