Joshua Griggs, M.D., is Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) at Skagit Regional Health (SRH), where he serves as the liaison between providers and the technology services team to advance development and use of the health system’s Electronic Health Record (EHR). He oversees an enterprise EHR in two hospitals and 19 clinics with a medical staff of nearly 600 providers. Dr. Griggs is Board Certified in Family Medicine, contributing 20 percent of his time to direct patient care. Reporting to SRH’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr. Griggs works to improve the health and well-being of the community by providing patient-centered care at the bedside and leadership to the SRH organization. Dr. Griggs focuses on data and analytics initiatives to drive evidence-based care delivery at SRH, endeavoring to optimize the systematic delivery of quality healthcare with emphasis on patient safety and information technology. He is a graduate of Loma Linda Medical School and completed his medical residency at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Ana, California. He holds a Certificate of Medical Management from the University of Washington and is a member of the Washington State Medical Association, the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Academy of Family Practice, and the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME).
