Jonathan started his healthcare IT career at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in 2007 as an IT Support Specialist and has been fueling innovation and change at Oklahoma Heart Hospital ever since. Moving from analyst to developer to director and now Lead Software Architect for one of the nation's largest cardiovascular specialty physician groups, Jonathan has a deep industry knowledge that includes a first-hand perspective at how health IT impacts patients and providers alike, the challenges that face an enterprise-level organization, and how to bridge some of healthcare greatest gaps. Jonathan has been pivotal in Oklahoma Heart Hospital's work with Cerner, particularly with Cerner MPages. Jonathan simultaneously holds an executive leadership role at Encardio Health, a subsidiary of Oklahoma Heart Hospital that partners with other healthcare organizations to transfer their learnings and help healthcare organizations easily access and use the data within their Cerner EHR.
Jonathan led the charge at Oklahoma Heart Hospital to identify, evaluate, select, and implement a mobile-first patient engagement strategy that would help them reach their goals. Working alongside Oklahoma Heart Hospital CIO, Michelle Mullins, Jonathan's deep knowledge of the organization and health IT and articulate leadership of the project were key in achieving the savings and organization-wide response to the initiative.
