I started out my career as a Registered Nurse working as a TBI (traumatic brain injury) Nurse at Craig Hospital. I was in this role for six years before I determined I wanted to do more with my career and obtained my Master Degree in Health Care Informatics.
Currently, I'm a Nursing Informatics Coordinator. I enjoy working collaboratively with users of clinical information systems and the technical teams that support our systems. I also help coordinate aspects of identification, planning, design, development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of clinical information systems to support quality patient care and professional practice. Finally, I utilize the knowledge and skills of clinical practice along with evidence based practice and nursing research to determine clinical functions that are suitable for computer application and to ensure the information systems are consistent with professional standards of clinical Nursing practice.
Prior, that that I was a Clinical Workflow Analyst. In that role I helped support day-to-day existing functionality and performs intermediate systems analysis and troubleshooting to resolve end-user/client issues and clinical content technical problems. Further more I helped develops, designs, and coordinates analysis and timing for research, configuration, and testing involving multiple team members, users, and departments for clinical content.
