Jamie DeMaria is an accomplished senior executive with more than 15 years of leadership within the medical education and pharmaceuticals industries. Leveraging a robust background in academic medicine, research, and management of global operations, he is skilled at running sales and marketing, revenue management, expense management, project management, new product development, digital product development, and pricing.
Currently, Jamie serves as the Senior Vice President of WebMD/Medscape’s Education division. A subsidiary of WebMD Health Corp., Medscape is the leading source of clinical news, health information and point-of-care tools for healthcare professionals. Jamie is responsible for the Medscape Education division (medscape.org), which is the leading destination for continuous professional development, consisting of more than 30 specialty-focused destinations offering thousands of free CME and CE courses and other educational programs for physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals. In this role, Jamie also launched WebMD Education, which is an online platform that promotes shared decision making between patient and physician by educating patients on similar medical topics as health care practitioners. This empowers patients and physicians to have better conversations about health, disease, and how treatment plans should be developed.
Jamie has an MBA from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, a PhD in neuroscience, a MS in biological science from Florida State University, and a BS in biology from the University of Notre Dame.
