Dr. Ingrid Wurpts is a Data Scientist in the Medical Informatics and Data Science Department at Dignity Health. Since beginning at Dignity Health in 2016, she has worked as the primary data scientist on analytics projects including physician attribution and prevention of opioid oversedation. She received her PhD in Quantitative Research Methods from Arizona State University’s Department of Psychology, where she studied statistical methods to evaluate behavioral health interventions. Her dissertation research was a statistical simulation evaluating how well contextual multilevel models perform with longitudinal daily diary data. She has published a number of methodological and substantive journal articles and chapters on topics such as latent class analysis, multilevel modeling, and neurocognitive obesity interventions. Dr. Wurpts holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Psychology from Northwestern College in Iowa
