Dr. Eric Pan is a senior physician informaticist and Westat Senior Study Director with more than 30 years of health informatics research experience. He has served as Westat’s project director and subject matter expert for multiple clients, including the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT, the Bureau of Primary Health Care, CDC, and AHRQ. He also led quality assurance efforts at the Westat Center for Health Information Technology and was its representative to the corporate IT committee. Before joining the Westat staff, Dr. Pan was senior scientist at the Center for Information Technology Leadership (CITL), as well as associate director of CITL’s NLM Informatics Fellowship Program. He led CITL’s analytic and modeling efforts and trained staff in analytic, statistical, programming, and related research methodologies. Dr. Pan has also served as an instructor in medicine at Harvard Medical School. Between 2000 and 2002, he was an NLM Fellow working in the Boston-Area Biomedical Informatics Research Training Program at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Children’s Hospital, Boston.
