Edwina S. Mallery is Assistant Vice president of Information Systems and ACIO at Lafayette General Health in Louisiana. Under Mallery's leadership, Lafayette General Health received numerous awards such as HIMSS Davies, HIMSS level 6 and Most Wired. All hospitals in the system have received meaningful use stage 2 designations. Ambulatory practices and clinics have all received MU stage 2. Primary care and family practices are NCQA patient-centered medical home level 3. In 2016, we were selected as Best Places to Work in IT Top 100 in the United States. IS oversees all information management planning, basic technology and product research, vendor relations and contracting, internal software development, system implementation, telecommunication, staff education, and host network operations at Lafayette General Health. She has been instrumental in the implementation of several EMR's, Financial ERP solutions, Radiology and Cardiology PACS, Telemedicine, medication storage units, supply station barcode project to list some of her accomplishments. LGH has built a strong Community Health strategy in building an integrated care delivery network through our domain extension strategy, HealthyLink. Edwina is a graduate of the Leadership Lafayette program and holds membership in AHIMA, HIMSS, CHIME and other numerous professional and civic affiliations. Mallery received a bachelor's degree in Health Information Management from the University of Louisiana Lafayette and has over 20 years of experience in Healthcare IT and management. She is a member of the American Health Information Management Association, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and the Louisiana Hospital Association. Community involvement includes membership in Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Lafayette graduate, Technology Peer Review for Lafayette Parish School Board, and several church ministries and councils.
