Edward C. Klatt, MD, Professor of Pathology at Mercer University School of Medicine. He is involved in curriculum design, development, and deployment for the undergraduate medical education program. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Klatt has been involved with informatics and medical education for four decades. Dr. Klatt created and continues to develop one of the oldest World Wide Web internet sites, WebPath, in pathology education for nearly 25 years. He facilitated development of Mercer’s new Patient Based Curriculum with emphasis on integration of clinical and basic science content in an active learning environment. He has developed teaching materials deployed in multiple active learning, team settings: problem-based learning, case-based learning, and team-based learning. He facilitated the creation of a wellness curriculum. His focus is on facilitating advancement of medical education with information management and critical thinking through a team-based approach.
