David Webster is the Associate Director of Pharmacy Inpatient Operations at the University of Rochester Medical Center, providing leadership for multiple licensed pharmacies in an academic medical center setting. In his capacity as associate pharmacy director, Mr. Webster is responsible for managing overall pharmacy operations and teams across the health system’s multiple facilities with budgetary oversight and responsible for implementing innovative technologies focused on improving patient safety, efficiencies, and cost reductions. In addition to Mr. Webster’s +20 years of pharmacy operations experience, Mr. Webster has over the last 10 years been the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program Director as well as assistant Professor of Clinical Community and Preventive Medicine at University of Rochester Medical Center.
Mr. Webster is a frequent presenter and contributor at pharmacy conferences, events and universities speaking on improvements across the pharmacy practice to enhance patient safety, operational efficiencies and pharmacy workflows. He’s acknowledged for being an early adopter of new technologies to help shape the future of pharmacy operations.
Mr. Webster received his BS in Biochemistry from Saint Bonaventure University in 1990, BS in Pharmacy 1993 and MSBA in Operations Management in 1998 from Simon School of Business, University of Rochester.
