David Northern has more than thirty years of leadership experience within the healthcare industry. He began his career having operational and financial responsibility for clinical, ancillary, and support services departments in both proprietary and nonproprietary acute care hospitals. For the past ten years, he has focused on patient progression/throughout consulting in emergency departments, inpatient services and surgical services.
As both and internal and external process improvement consultant, he successfully worked with numerous acute care hospital leaders assisting them in their goal to achieve improved organizational performance. He works with hospital stakeholders to reduce overall inpatient length of stay, increase emergency department revenue and volume, improve core measure performance, improve productivity, and improve patient satisfaction.
