Dale has been involved in complex data fusion and high risk decision support for over 30 years, starting as a Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence (C3I) officer in the US Air Force, supporting nuclear warfare operations for the Strategic Air Command, Looking Glass, and the Reagan-Gorbachev summits. He went on to work for NSA, developing a sophisticated decision support system for identifying and mitigating risks to the US nuclear command and control system.
He transitioned into healthcare in 1996, where he served as the Chief Architect of Enterprise Data Warehousing and Director of Medical Informatics at Intermountain Healthcare. From there, he went on to academic medicine as a CIO at Northwestern, then into public health as the CIO for the national health system of the Cayman Islands. He currently serves the Executive Vice President of Product Development at Health Catalyst.
