Curtis A. Boehm, MD, is Chief Medical Information Officer at Health Partners in Minneapolis, Minn. Dr. Boehm obtained his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1992. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota before joining Park Nicollet in 1995 as a primary care physician. Additional accomplishments include leading the implementation of computerized provider order entry (CPOE) at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in 2003. Dr. Boehm was named to the CMIO position at Park Nicollet Health Services in 2011 where he played a critical leadership role during Park Nicollet’s three-year transition from an outdated electronic health record to a more robust, fully integrated system. In 2013, with the merger of Health Partners and Park Nicollet Health Services, he was named to the enterprise CMIO role. He has chaired the order-set steering committee at the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement and co-chaired the CMS Pioneer ACO HIT action group. He is currently a member of the Minnesota State Health Information Exchange review committee.
