Christer Johnson leads EY’s Analytics Advisory services for the Healthcare Sector in the Americas. Christer brings 24 years of experience leveraging advanced analytics and mathematical techniques to help his clients improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business decisions and processes across many industries. Such industries include: government, transportation, consumer package goods, healthcare, insurance, life sciences, and telecommunications. Christer joined E&Y after leading IBM’s Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics Consulting Services across North America, where he leveraged descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics to report, identify, and capture operational cost saving and/or revenue enhancing opportunities for clients. At IBM, he led a team of over 420 consultants with either business intelligence expertise (e.g. Cognos and TM1) or advanced analytics expertise (e.g. SPSS / SAS data mining and predictive modeling, ILOG optimization, simulation). Engagement experience - Over the last five years, Christer has primarily focused on leveraging his advanced analytics and machine learning expertise to help healthcare companies identify insights to drive lower costs, improve patient/consumer satisfaction, increase patient/consumer engagement, and improve overall health outcomes. This has included the use of advanced analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of various health engagement programs, as well as the use of machine learning to help drive next best actions to take with individual patients/consumers to drive engagement and better outcomes.
