Christel Anderson is the Senior Director of Interoperability Initiatives for HIMSS. In this role she executes and directs global initiatives including HIMSS Interoperability Showcases, ConCert by HIMSS, interoperability testing & certification services, developer programming, innovation pitch events & competitions and the HIMSS Innovation & Conference Center.
She has served as a PCORI Grant Reviewer, CMMI Technical Chair, Alliance for Nursing Informatics Governing Directors, the TIGER Initiative Foundation Board of Directors, Lincoln Park Zoo Auxiliary Board, FORUM Editorial and the Association Forum Content Committee. She has published, lectured and contributed to research on Clinical Informatics. She is the recipient of the ASAE & Association Forum Forty under 40 Award, the HIMSS Award of Excellence and the TIGER Leadership Award.
Anderson joined HIMSS in 2006 in Clinical Informatics. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill, and a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois.
