Charles Fisher is an Assistant Vice President of the Rehabilitation Department at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS). Charles plays a key role in managing the HSS Rehabilitation Department and its 275 multidisciplinary staff. He has spoken both nationally and internationally regarding HSS Rehabilitation. In his role, Charles assists in creating interdisciplinary clinical pathways and various length of stay initiatives. He led the acute care rehabilitation team in the building and training of two separate EHR implementations. He continues to play a leading role in optimizing EHR usage to facilitate positive patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Charles also plays a leadership role in the hospital wide Body Mechanics program and the Post-Acute Coordination team which follows patients through the comprehensive joint replacement (CJR) bundle.
