Bryan Bliven is chief information officer at University of Missouri Health Care and Executive Director of Tiger Institute for Health Innovation. He is responsible for leveraging information technology as a strategic asset at MU Health Care. Bliven also has responsibility for Tiger Institute initiatives including Innovation, Research Collaboration, and Tiger Institute Health Alliance.
Bliven’s leadership has resulted in many awards and successes, including the HIMSS Nicholas E. Davies Award of Excellence in 2015. MU Health Care reached HIMSS EMRAM Stage 7 across 5 inpatient facilities in November 2012 and 44 ambulatory clinics in 2013, with recertification in both venues in October 2016. MU Health Care has been named HealthCare’s Most Wired six consecutive years.
Bliven was honored with the 2016 Transformational Leadership Award from CHIME and the American Hospital Association and was also named as a Top 50 Healthcare IT Expert by Health Data Management in both 2016 and 2017.
Bryan received his MiS from University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, his Certificate in Healthcare IT strategic Leadership, Healthcare Information Technology from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and his MBA from University of Missouri-Columbia.
