Dr. Jacobs is Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University and Vice President, Chief Medical Information Officer, CIO and a Critical Care faculty member at Children’s National Health System in Washington, DC. He is the Director of the Bear Institute, a Pediatric Health IT Institute, and directs the Children’s IQ Network® a pediatric health information exchange in the DC metropolitan region. Dr. Jacobs has authored numerous journal articles, book chapters, abstracts, and scientific presentations. He is a fellow of the AAP, ACCM and HIMSS. He also is a member of the Society for Pediatric Research, CHIME and AMDIS.
