Beth Connor, MS, RN, is a Nurse Consultant at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), in the Center for Clinical Standards and Quality (CCSQ), in the Division of Chronic and Post-acute Care (DCPAC). She serves as the Government Task Lead for the CMS Data Element Library (DEL), to support standardization and interoperability post-acute care assessment data elements, per the Improving Medicare Post-acute Care Transformation (IMPACT) Act.  She provides expert nursing consultation and technical advice on a variety of healthcare topics including public health policy, population health, clinical practice, healthcare services, and post-acute care assessment instruments such as the Minimum Data Set (MDS), Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Patient Assessment Instrument (IRFPAI), Long-term Care Hospital Data Set (LCDS), Hospice Item Set (HIS) and Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS).  In addition, she is the government task lead for the Post-Acute Care Interoperability Workgroup (PACIO) to advance interoperable health information exchange across the continuum of care using Fast Healthcare Interoperability (FHIR) application programming interfaces (APIs).
